In the year 1620, a
little ship came to America. It was called the MayFlower. There were about one
hundred people on the ship. The people were called Pilgrims. The Pilgrims left
England for The New World.
在1620年時，一艘小船來到了美國，它叫做「五月花號」。大約有一百個人在船上，這些人被稱為「清教徒」。清教徒離開英國要去新大陸。 The first winter in America was very cold. They Pilgrims didn’t have much food and warm clothes. They got sick. Many pilgrims died. It was a tough time. 在美國第一年的冬天非常的冷。清教徒們沒有很多的食物和溫暖的衣裳。他們生病了，很多清教徒生病死了。那是一段艱難時期。 In the spring, the Indians came to visit. They were very friendly. And two of them could speak English. They taught the pilgrims how to plant corn and how to hunt for the turkeys in the woods.
