中元節，俗稱「七月半」，是鬼門關對外開放的時候，所以七月又稱「鬼月」。

Every year the giant gate of the undersworld opens for the 30 days of the 7th lunar month. Underwold ghosts will go out and enjoy the food and the fair that people in the living world have prepared for them.

每年陰間地府的大門會在農曆七月大開，一共整整三十天。而孤魂野鬼會在這個時候離開地府，前來人間，享受人民為他們準備好的食物。
