Pardoned turkey stars in Thanksgiving parade at Disneyland

ANAHEIM, Calif. (AP) -- One of two turkeys who received the traditional Thanksgiving pardon this week from President Bush took center stage Thursday as the grand marshal of the Disneyland Thanksgiving Day Parade.             

    布希感恩節前特赦火雞　明州「棉花糖」中選

 （法新社華盛頓二十二日電） 美國總統布希今天舉行一年一度的感恩節前夕特赦火雞儀式，雀屏中選的是一隻叫作「棉花糖」(Marshmallow)的火雞。在明尼蘇達州出生長大，由國家火雞聯盟(National Turkey Federation)獻給布希。

十一月的第四個星期四是一年一度的感恩節，火雞是美國感恩節的主食。每年感恩節宰殺的火雞約有四千五百萬隻。 

火雞特赦傳統行之有年，五十多年來，每位美國總統都會在感恩節前夕赦免火雞。

「棉花糖」不但逃過淪為盤中佳餚的命運，還將在加州迪士尼樂園度過餘生，不會像其他被赦免的火雞一樣被送到動物園安養天年。
